working with mail

I'm setting up a system that, when a user signs up, an email is sent to an administrator. When that administrator gets the email, i want him to be able to hit reply and send an email with a subject of yes or no, which will either enable or disable the recently requested account. however, i don't know how to retrieve a mail message that was sent to an inbox. does anyone know of a way? or an article?you need pop component to retrieve email from emailbox.
