Working with photos

I have a question, when uploading a photo through a webpage, is there a way of modifying the photo to a particular size, so anyone uploading a photo will be trimmed to the size I need. Is there a function that will do this for me?

Any help would be apreciated, I am just a beginner.

There are a fewGraphic server control that allow you to achieve this. (From theControl Gallery tab at the top of this site.)
